Position Overview
As the US Volunteers Coordinator, you will hold a pivotal role in expanding Human Appeal’s volunteer network in United States. Your responsibilities encompass various aspects of volunteer management, including recruitment, support and exploration of innovative volunteering opportunities. We are seeking an immediate appointment for this role.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor volunteers and interns, fostering their development and engagement
Actively grow Human Appeal’s volunteer database in US, promoting volunteer opportunities, processing sign up requests and conducting
Volunteer Team Leader interview
Recruit interns for various departments, including role profiling, job advertising, and interview coordination
Maintain an inventory of volunteer resources, including collection buckets, merchandise and donation forms, for all volunteering activities
Serve as the central point of contact for volunteer queries and support requests, ensuring timely responses and issue resolution
Develop and implement local volunteering projects and outreach programs to enhance community engagement and improve local relations
Manage data input and data management across Salesforce, AMS and other relevant systems
Explore innovative ideas to maximize the potential of Human Appeal’s volunteering programs
Provide procurement support by obtaining quotes for venues, coaches, AV equipment, catering, etc., ensuring cost efficiency in volunteer activities
Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements through local and corporate providers, maintaining strong relations to ensure value for money and satisfaction
Assist in growing the charity’s donor database by suggesting innovative fundraising opportunities and supporting campaign management through research and networking
Qualifications and Requirements of US Volunteers Coordinator Job
Ideally degree educated in a related field, with a minimum of a High School Diploma
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in charity, office administration, event management, or volunteer coordination
Experience working and/or volunteering in the US, with a strong understanding of the US voluntary sector, is highly desirable
Possess a valid driver’s license, with full time access to a car
Flexibility to support campaigns by attending activities and events, including those during unsociable hours such as evenings and weekends (overtime compensated per Human Appeal’s TOIL Policy)
Proficient in computer literacy and database management; experience with Salesforce is a plus
Passionate and well informed about the international development sector
Fluent in English additional languages like Arabic or Urdu are desirable
